Te Oaked Highland took us a little while to get our head around to be honest.
Originally designed as a kind of Whisky alternative or an after dinner sipping gin! Served on the rocks with an orange twist is just enough to soften this up for this softy that is not a big neat spirit fan. You do not need to be a whisky lover to appreciate this as there is a whisky nod to it (we add in Oak chips and vanilla to recreate similar flavours) but with a gin based spice about it.
For a long drink now we start really talking. Ginger Ale is the way to go here, don't get me wrong tonic still works but with ginger the spices are heightened and you get a lovely wintery fireside gin to die for.
